FishingBooker, which offers more than 30,000 fishing trips worldwide, recently honored nine Fort Myers Beach fishing charter companies with its Angler’s Choice Awards. Charter boats from Fort Myers Beach were among the 51 fishing captains selected.
The reward “honours the best captains on the rig for their efforts to provide the best possible fishing experience for their guests”, a FishingBooker ad says.
FishingBooker is an online booking platform that uses reader reviews to recognize charters around the world.
Of the 7,800 charter options on the platform, around 15% received the award this year.
To be eligible for the award, charter operators had to meet the following criteria:
Above 4.5 out of a possible 5-star rating from at least 7 verified reviews
Low cancellation rate, less than 30%
High responsiveness to booking requests, over 90%
Cape Coral, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel and Captiva and Pine Island all had multiple winners
