The comic book story about the Tomahawk sport fishing boat

Recently, Bloodydecks sponsored a 1 to 3/4 day Tomahawk excursion from Fisherman’s Landing. Our own Jake zalesky and Rodney Marquez were on board to hand out gifts and get a taste of the local bluefin tuna action. We asked Jake what he thought of his first overnight trip; “I guess I would just say how addicting this type of fishing was. This was my first adventure on a multi-day Big Bluefin Tuna trip and the fight was unlike anything I have ever experienced. He was truly a man versus a beast and that feeling of fighting a 70 pound fish at the end of that line is a feeling that I want to continue to pursue.

Jake’s first BFT aboard the Tomahawk at Fisherman’s Landing.

They both got to check out the local bluefin tuna box on this trip!

Rodney described the trip: “We had 1 bluefin tuna drift which lasted 4 to 5 hours. We got tuna to bite off on 30-60 # flutes lined with flies, deep pellet rigs, 80 gram colt snipers, and 120 gram flat drops. Everyone followed the instructions, the crew members worked, everyone respected the game of charter fishing. It was a great feeling to land my first bluefin tuna, but an even better feeling capturing the excitement of everyone on the boat. I can not wait to return to.
